How do I ship my artwork?

If your artwork has been sold, the standard process for shipment to the client is as follows:
Check the condition of your Artwork
Print the Artwork’s Certificate of Authenticity
Pack your Artwork
Organise Shipping to the Customer
Send Tracking Details

1. Condition Check
Before shipping your artwork, you will need to send at least 5 high-resolution images of your artwork to The Artling team for our condition check. The list of required images are as follows:
Full front view
Full back view
Left-side view
Right-side view
Detailed close-up shots
Our team will review these images, and let you know if we have any questions or concerns. Once you have our approval, you can then pack the artwork for shipment.

2. Certificate of Authenticity
For every artwork sold, please prepare a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) for the artwork. Let us know if you need a template for this.

3. Pack Artwork
Once the condition check is completed, you can prepare your artwork along with the COA for shipping. To protect your artwork, it is crucial that they are packed securely with sufficient packing materials in order to prevent any damage during transit.

For Unframed Artworks

Artworks shipped rolled
Wrap the artwork in acid free tissue paper before rolling the piece. If you are shipping more than one artwork together, add a layer of acid free tissue paper in between the artworks.
For additional protection against moisture and damages, wrap the artwork with bubble wrap.
Pack the artwork into a well fitted shipping tube and for extra security, tape down the lids of the tube.
Clearly mark the package as fragile and note to handle with care.

Shipped Flat (e.g. artworks on paper)
Wrap the artwork in acid free tissue paper. If you are shipping more than one artwork together, add a layer of acid free tissue paper in between the artworks.
To protect each corner for the work, fold four pieces of acid-free tissue paper into triangles with a side open, then place the triangles on each corner.
For additional protection against moisture and damages, wrap the artwork with plastic or bubble wrap.
Pack the artworks in a well-fitted box and ensure that any openings are taped securely.
Clearly mark the package as fragile and note to handle with care.

For Framed Artworks, Sculptures and other Large-size and Fragile Artworks
Wrap the artwork with acid free tissue paper and/or bubble wrap.
Use a custom wooden crate or double-wall cardboard box to pack the artwork.
Leave at least a 10 cm gap between the artwork and the walls of the crate/box to include additional filling of shredded paper or foam peanuts around the packed artwork.
Ensure that any openings are taped or nailed securely.
Clearly mark the package as fragile and note to handle with care.

Please do not include the following items in the artwork shipment to the client.
● Artwork invoice (This should be sent directly to The Artling for our payment transfer)
● Personal notes and contact details
● Any prohibited items and articles
